Professor Miri Named 2019 Searle Scholar

Professor Andrew Miri has been named a 2019 Searle Scholar, along with 14 other scientists nationwide. Searle Scholars are selected based on their potential to make significant contributions to the fields of chemistry and biomedical sciences over the course of their careers.
"From past experience, we know that these new Searle Scholars are virtually guaranteed to make major contributions to their fields over long careers in research science," said Doug Fambrough, scientific director for the Searle Scholars Program. "Over almost forty years, our Program has consistently seen our awardees push the boundaries of basic science, becoming leaders in their fields and contributing to the betterment of peoplekind."
