New findings from the Gallio Lab were published in Nature Communications in the article "Rapid threat assessment in the Drosophila thermosensory system". The paper identifies a brain circuit in fruit flies that selectively responds to rapid thermal change, priming behavior for escape.
The lab's latest publication was also featured in Northwestern Now's article "Researchers identify brain center responsible for responses to rapid temperature change". The Northwestern Now article provides an overview of the findings and features commentary from lead author Marco Gallio.
