2024 Rappaport Award Winners Announced

Each year, the prestigious Rappaport Award for Research Excellence is given to one or two IBiS graduate students in their 4th or 5th years who have demonstrated excellence in their thesis research. This year, there are two award winners:
Matthew Capek
Gallio Lab
Evolution of Temperature Preference Behavior in Drosophila
and
Eduardo Campos Chavez
Mondragon Lab
Structural and Biophysical Studies of the T-box Riboswitch
The Rappaport Award provides an IBiS-level stipend and TGS 500 tuition for one year as well as an award to the
students of a $2,500 reimbursement for scientific purposes such as equipment or travel. Please join us in congratulating the winners!
Matthew and Eduardo will be presenting their award-winning papers on Thursday, September 19th at 12:30 PM in Pancoe Auditorium.
