Clark Rosensweig appointed Director of Operations for the Single Cell Genomics Facility
February 6, 2025
The Single Cell Genomics Facility is thrilled to welcome Clark Rosensweig as its first Director of Operations. Clark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University, and a PhD in Neuroscience from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Clark has a long-standing interest in the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying circadian rhythmicity in mammals and insects. He has published extensively in this area, and has extensive experience with next generation sequencing technologies, including single cell genomics. Clark, who is a Research Associate in the Department of Neurobiology, stepped in as Interim Director of the Single Cell Genomics Facility in August of 2024. Since that time, he has overseen the creation of the core’s infrastructure and establishment of its financial model and workflows. “Clark has been a dream to work with in setting up the Single Cell Facility”, says Faculty Director Tom Bozza. “He will be an invaluable asset to the Evanston research community.”
The Single Cell Genomics Facility opened its doors in January 2025 and serves as the new home for flow cytometry, single cell genomics, spatial transcriptomics, and single cell analysis on the Evanston campus. The facility is supported by the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Neurobiology, and the Department of Molecular Biosciences. It is operated in cooperation with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center Flow Cytometry Core Facility in the Feinberg School of Medicine.
