Cook Hall
2220 Campus Drive
Cook Hall, formerly known as the Materials & Life Sciences Building, was completed in 1992. The building was partially funded by the U.S. Department of Energy as an energy conservation demonstration facility, and is connected to the Hogan Building, Mudd Hall, and the Technological Institute by raised pedestrian walkways on the building's second floor. Department of Neurobiology investigators occupy the second floor of the structure’s east wing. Cook Hall is also shared by the state-of-the-art Keck Biophysics Facility, and the departments of Materials Science and Engineering and Molecular Biosciences.
Hogan Biological Sciences Building

The Hogan Building houses the administrative offices for the Departments of Neurobiology and Molecular Biosciences, the Biological Sciences Undergraduate Major, the Interdepartmental Biological Sciences (IBiS) Program, and the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program (NUIN) Evanston Campus office, and is home also to the Life Sciences Financial Services office, the Single Cell Genomics Core, the Office for Research Safety, the Argonne Institute for Science and Engineering (NAISE), and several other institutes, centers, and offices. The Hogan Building is connected to Cook Hall and to the Pancoe Life Sciences Pavilion by raised pedestrian walkways on the building's second floor.
mudd Hall

Mudd Hall (formerly Seeley G. Mudd Science Library, 1977) was designed by Walter Netsch of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The three-story, reinforced-concrete library is connected to the Technological Institute and to Cook Hall by raised pedestrian walkways on the building's second floor. It holds the University's collection of books, publications, and other materials pertaining to engineering and science. Department of Neurobiology investigators occupy the structure's fourth floor.
Pancoe — NSUHS Life Sciences Pavilion

The Arthur and Gladys Pancoe NSUHS Life Sciences Pavilion (2003) includes laboratory, office, and teaching space for researchers in the fields of biology and the life sciences. Department of Neurobiology researchers occupy the building's first and second floors. The four-story, 171,000-square-foot facility was designed by Zimmer, Gunsul, Frasca for advanced biomedical research integrating basic science discoveries with clinical investigations. Pancoe is connected to Cook Hall, the Hogan Building, and Silverman Hall by raised pedestrian walkways on the pavilion's second floor.
Richard and Barbara Silverman Hall for Molecular Therapeutics and Diagnostics

The Richard and Barbara Silverman Hall for Molecular Therapeutics & Diagnostics brings together chemists, biologists and engineers to advance biomedical research through the development of new medicines and diagnostics. It is connected to the Pancoe Life Sciences Pavilion by a raised pedestrian walkway on the structure's second floor. The Department of Neurobiology has lab space on the facility's second floor.
Technological Institute
2145 Sheridan Road
The Technological Institute (1942) has more than 750,000 square feet of classrooms, offices, laboratories, and research facilities. Designed by Holabird and Root, the facility is one of the largest academic buildings in the world. It houses the Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science as well as the departments of chemistry, physics, and astronomy, which are part of the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. The Technological Institute is connected to Cook Hall and to Mudd Hall by raised pedestrian walkways that cross over Tech Drive. Many of the Department of Neurobiology's affiliated faculty are located in the Technological Institute.
