Postdoctoral Fellow James Heys Named Recipient of Simons Collaboration on the Global Brain Postdoctoral Fellowship

jim heysPostdoctoral fellow James Heys of the Dombeck lab was named the recipient of the Simons Collaboration on the Global Brain Postdoctoral Fellowship for his project, “Optical Imaging and Manipulation of Medial Entorhinal Cortex Grid Cells.”

The Simons Foundation was founded in 1994 by Jim and Marilyn Simons to advance research in mathematics and basic science. The Simons Collaboration on the Global Brain seeks to advance neuroscience “by combining analysis of internal states with the analysis of sensory and motor processing [to] exploit new experimental and theoretical tools to span the arc from sensation to action, and to discover the nature, role and mechanisms of the neural activity that produces cognition.”
