Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The Neurobiology Department commits to a safe, equitable and accessible environment for all our faculty, students and staff. We embrace diversity broadly defined including race, ethnicity or religious background, political affiliation, appearance, gender identity and sexual orientation. We believe everyone in the department has a right to feel welcome, valued and free to express their best selves.

In recognition of these values, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee has been set up with the following goals in mind:

  1. To promote diversity, equity and inclusion and actively combat prejudice, discrimination and inequality in our community

  2. To promote learning and discussion about matters related to diversity, equity and inclusion

  3. To create a safe and effective avenue to report concerns and provide suggestions related to diversity, equity and inclusion at the department level
